MHHS warns of TB increase

(PR) There has been an increase in tuberculosis (TB) cases in our community in recent weeks. TB spreads through the air when a person with active TB coughs or sneezes.

Protect yourself and others by covering your cough, wearing a mask if you’re sick, ensuring good ventilation, and getting tested if you have symptoms like a persistent cough, fatigue, fever, loss of appetite, unexplained weight loss, or night sweats.

Early detection and treatment are key—please seek care if you have concerns.

Erratum: Speaker Helena Rois Yoichi-Arurang

In the April 06 issue, a front-page article incorrectly stated that Helena Rois Yoichi-Arurang had served as the Speaker of the 10th Olbiil er a Ngerchumelbai (Airai Legislature) for five terms.

Arurang is currently serving her fifth term as a legislator for the 10th Olbiil er a Ngerchumelbai and on her second term as Speaker. We regret the error.
